Whether large or small, they are always special. Here we present our absolute favourites and perhaps one or two insider tips. But don't tell anyone! They should stay exactly as they are :-)

Our favourite (how could it be otherwise) is the Passeier Christmas market. Of course, because it's just round the corner from us, but also because it's organised with so much attention to detail. The "Stodl" - barn in St. Leonhard becomes a stage for musicians and bands and the club square becomes a small forest Christmas market. The fire brigade invites you to "zommstien" (a dialect word for meeting and being together) and you might even have a cup or two of mulled wine there. Good that the way home is not far...:-) But beware, the events there are concentrated on the weekends.

Christmas in Merano
A soft sea of lights, fragrant cinnamon biscuits and the snow-covered mountains in the background. This is the Christmas market in Merano. The unique architecture of the decoratively decorated stalls and the varied and high quality offer, make it neither overloaded nor kitschy.

Christmas market a Bolzano
It is the largest Christmas market with over 70 stalls. But not only of South Tyrol, but of all Italy. In addition to gingerbread and Christmas cookies, you will find lots of handicrafts. And also for children highlights like pony rides, Punch and Judy show, children's train, carousel etc. are waiting.

Advent in Tyrol Castle
Celebrating Advent behind mystical castle walls. That's quite nice. From 29.11.-01.12.2024 and 06.12.-08.12.2024 Castle Tyrol opens its doors and surprises with traditional crafts such as felting, turning or pottery. In addition, the Tyrolean Castle Advent is framed by various concerts and enjoyable stalls. Weather permitting, there is even a horse-drawn carriage ride along the castle path to about 300 m in front of the castle entrance (start Kirchplatz).
