Hike to the Malga Egger Grub
Directions: Via the Passeier Valley to Moos, then in the direction of Timmelsjoch, after the second bend turn right to Stuls. Shortly before the little church, a narrow farm road leads to the "Morx Puite" inn on the left. Continue along the road until you reach the Hochegghöfen (1,650 hm) where a pay car park (€ 4.00 in coins) awaits you.
Route: From the car park follow the gravel farm road, which you could also walk to the end of the mountain pasture. Or, like us ;-) you can hike through the forest along a steeper path (at the beginning still along the Höfestraße until you see signpost no. 14 on the left) to the Egger Grub Alm (1929 m). Once there, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the meadows of the Stuller Mahder. But not only that, we can also admire the sublime peaks of the Texel and Ötztal Alps.

To the Hochalm, a circular hike on the Stuller Mahder
We also start the round tour from the Hochegghöfe car park. From here, the trail briefly goes along a tarred forest road, through the forest, but then turns into a field path and leads onto the "Mahdn" (meadows). We now follow the signpost 15 B on the right to the new Bockerhütte in an easterly direction. Wonderful to walk, with great views of the Texelgruppe, Hirzer, Ifinger etc. The trail then bends to the north (15 A), from where there is another decent climb. Then head west again on the heights to the Hochalmhütte. From there descend via a narrow path to the Malga Egger Grub, continue down through the forest to the starting point.
